The 2018 Mango Season has Come to an End
Shipping for next year expected to begin the end of June 2019!
Each mango is picked by hand, packaged, and shipped that day. The mangos mature in three periods during the season;
early-season - Glenn and Haden
mid-season - Valencia Pride and Mallika
late-season - Keitt
The juicy Carrie, with a smooth, silky texture, is now part of our early-season harvest.
Glenn is a mango rich, sweet, and reminiscent of peaches and pineapples in flavor. Although early, this fruit many times weighs over a pound.
Valencia Pride mango is next, typically maturing mid-July through August. A large, flat-shaped fruit, the Valencia Pride has a thin seed popular for the amount of flesh and its superb taste and texture.
The later part of the season brings the Keitt mango, starting in August and lasting until September. This variety defies your basic mango, easily weighing in at over 2 lbs. The flavor is just as big - sweet and robust.
When mangos reach maturity they are hard. Harvesting the fruit at this stage makes them ideal for shipping. Ripening will occur after they arrive, assuring maximum flavor at the peak of freshness and ready to enjoy!
